Abstract:
04120002 - The purpose of this thesis is to design database system at PT MUGI that focused their business at selling Avery Berkel and Sartorius brand Scale. This thesis is focusing on sale business and inventory. Methodology used in this Thesis consists of fact finding and database designing technique. Fact finding technique done by surveying to PT MUGI, interview, learning company document and the running system, do the data analysis, and designing database consisting conceptual database design, logical database design, and physical database design. The result of this thesis is database system design for sales and inventory. The result has been constructed into selected DBMS.And the Database that was made be integrated in the program that was drafted using VB 6.0. From this thesis, it can be concluded that the company who still applying the conventional system, will not improve the performance and work efficiency. So to improve the work efficiency, the company should use computerized database system that will give many advantage in data processing.
